How You See Your Job?
With us (myself and my 4 year old son) admitted in the hospital for over a month now, I see two groups of workers.
One group is the one that focuses on processing job tasks only. If the patient is crying, it doesn’t matter. Just complete the task and leave.
With the other group, it is a totally different scenario. They put their hearts and deep care and passion into their jobs. They do their job tasks with paying attention to specific details. They attend to their patients with full of presence, love, care and warmth.
I am not judging here. But rather I encourage every single worker in all industries to stop looking at their jobs as means for survival only. You are not dealing with feelingless entities to just complete a task.
Rather, if you perceive your job as a contribution to offer something meaningful, to have a wholehearted connection, to solve a problem or to touch someone’s heart, maybe that one day could break the chain of “work for salary” only.
