Rayyan’s Graduation from KG
7th May was a special day. It was the day my 5 years old son celebrated his graduation from kindergarten.
I took that day off to rest, visit my family and spend some quality time with him.
I told him: Today is your big day. You will perform on stage. We all will be there for you. Me, baba and your sisters. We all will cheer for you, take pictures of you and we are so proud of you.
Then we visited a store nearby home to let him choose his graduation gift. He selected a blue rally car with a remote control.
We arrived home. Kept his outfit and shoes all ready for his big day.
After maghrib prayer, we dressed up and left home to A’Sultan School nearby. We reached the hall and he joined his KG friends and teachers.
We sat there excited to see him perform. However I was also cautious if he may get tired or hungry.
After a couple of performance shows, it was his group’s turn. They performed twice. The 1st time when it was in English song. The 2nd time when it was Arabic.
He danced, moved around and paused with his friends. He did really great and we were so proud of him.
Finally it was time to distribute the certificates. We saw him with his friends dressed up for graduation and waiting to be called.
I was standing in front and waving for him. He saw me and waved back.
They called a girl (his classmate). She walked and he walked fast until the organizer caught him and told him to wait his turn.
Whey they called his name, he went to the director of education and the school principal, greeted them and received his certificate.
It was so emotional. I kept praying inside my heart. May Allah help him, give him strength, and support him to heal and be well in his scoliosis journey.
After that, his sisters ran to get him. We hugged him, congratulated him and praised him for his fantastic performance on stage. He was so excited. I told my husband: It’s my first time to see such a big and cheerful smile on his face. All his face muscles were happy and excited. Thanks Allah for such blessings and lovely moments. Al hamdulillah.
