Vulnerability Experience
My experience with vulnerability has got interesting twists and turns.
Earlier, I thought vulnerability is a weakness. I shouldn’t expose my feelings or I would be hurt. I need to act strong and tough in the face of difficult times.
Then later, with awakenings and realizations, I found out that vulnerability is key for authentic and meaningful connection. Without it, you can’t really be honest and yourself when connecting with another. Also it gives birth to creative ideas and innovation.
Now after learning so much about vulnerability from Dr. Brown, I am getting even more curious to incorporate it into different life areas like parenting, career, society, community, contribution and my books selling business.
I know it is not easy because vulnerability requires us to step into the unknown and uncertainty. It leads us to feel scared, fearful and anxious. It can even cause the mental rush to go into the rabbit hole of isolation and disconnection. That’s ok when we also remember our ability to use our inner courage, bravery and daring with our whole heartedness.
