1st Time to Wear Dental Braces
Yesterday I had an appointment with the dentist to start bracing my teeth.
I was cautious of the pain I might feel or the discomfort. But the dentist assured me that its ok and I just need to relax.
You might be asking: But Hudham, why bracing your teeth? You don’t need it. Your teeth look fine.
Well I noticed my lower front teeth started separating from each other. The gap was very small at the beginning. But later I noticed that the space between the teeth increased. I personally didn’t like its appearance and when eating, the food would get stuck in between those spaces and hurt my gum.
So I sought for the dentist advice and finally went ahead with the bracing treatment.
So far I still feel discomfort and pressure around my teeth. The chewing is challenging as I need to eat only soft food and be very gentle and careful.
This bracing process might take 14 to 18 months as the dentist suggested.
I can’t say this is easy. Smiling when meeting people is tricky because I am still cautious of my new braces.
I hope to adapt sooner than later.
