A Full-time Mom

There is this thought that runs in the back of my mind. It is what if I become a full-time mom? What if my primary role is actually at home with my kids and family?

With the industrial revolution that forced both men and women to work, it can be strange to think such a thought.

People say: Men and women are equal. Now women accompany men in the home duties and financial obligations. Women do more than they used to do before.

Well nothing wrong with that. But then let us remember also our feminine nature. How we women have been created. Our caring and giving. The secrecy and privacy of us. How Allah protects our needs in the Holy Book of Quran. How Allah shields us from men.

Here you realize a truth that rarely people talk about. The best place for us women is our home. There is where we perform best, do best and express ourselves fully.

So don’t get distracted or fooled by the society set-up. When you find men and women working together, it is actually opposite from how we need to be placed.

Whatever feelings you feel and thoughts run in your authentic mind, stick to that. It is not you but the world that is getting crazy and messy day by day. Hold on to your faith and belief. Find your footing. Know where you stand. Create boundaries for yourself. And always refer to your values and terms.
