Be Genuine and Authentic
When you face a conflict or misunderstanding with another person, you fixate on your perspective. You think: Why she is behaving that way. I don’t like that behaviour. I am angry. I don’t want to talk to her to anymore. She is not my type. And so on.
Then I remember our humanity and human differences. We all are different, separate and can’t be the same.
In such a context, I often ask myself: How can I be genuine and authentic? How can I interact with people while understanding our human differences? How can I accept where I come from and where the other person comes from too with empathy and compassion? By the way I am not encouraging to accept a behaviour you don’t like but rather it is the awareness and understanding we can develop inside ourselves.
First tip to do this is just be yourself and let other people be themselves too. You can’t manipulate others and others are not to convince you neither.
Second, use your vulernability and humanity to your advantage. You are human. Others are humans also. We all are created by One God. Although we live together in families, tribes and communities, eventually we would end up alone and separate inside our graves and on the judgment day.
At the end, when you do this, you also give others permission to do the same. It is hard nowadays to find a person interacting with authenticity and realness. But when you do it, you give the humanity another chance to express, speak up and be real and genuine during our social daily interactions.
