Career Perspective
When you start career, you think you need to follow your specific job description. You need to stick to your job duties and tasks. You believe that is what you are meant to do.
Then after a period of time, you realize an inner potential that is inside you. You recognise you are not bond to only your job responsibilities but you can also contribute, offer value, solve problems and create sustainable content that the society and community need.
In my previous unchecked career perspective, I used to value the hierarchical structure of boss and workers. I thought workers must follow the boss orders and instructions specifically no matter what.
Then after regular and continuous reflection and processing of this perspective, I realize that structures and divisions are only glass ceilings we choose to create inside our heads that prevent us from moving on.
Remember. You are a valuable, precious and unique human being who was put in this earth hotel to serve, contribute, create, cause an impact and make a difference in people lives.
If you allow old stereotypes of what we should and shouldn’t do control you, you would remain in that small and limited box proving yourself and seeking for others’ permission and approval.
So what about you? What is your career perspective today? Do you personally own it or is it something handed over to you by the society and culture? What new ideas and thoughts you can incorporate into your career perspective? How would you like to perceive your career? Do you want to remain in that average, small and limited box or you would rather open up and seek for other opportunities relevant to your field?
All the best reflecting and processing.
