Journey Versus Outcome

We focus on the outcome and achievement. We let the result take the majority of our attention and energy. We judge and complain if we didn’t get the result.

However, we are neglecting a very important piece here. What about the journey itself? What about the first step you took to initiate the process? What about the ride with all its twists and turns?

When you shift your attention from the result to the journey, you give yourself permission to:

  1. Do mistakes, learn and grow

  2. Approve and validate your hard efforts

  3. Be present in the process

  4. Appreciate your human existence and the journey you are being put in

  5. Be less hard on yourself

  6. Stop beating yourself up for not achieving the outcome sooner

  7. Enjoy the whole process and turn it into an enjoyable experience

At the end, remember. You are not that college certificate. You are not that grade you are struggling to get. You are not that money you are saving. You are a precious and valuable human being who was put in this earth hotel as a temporary guest to reflect and realize your truthful role and purpose.
