Milestone with Neck Support

After removal of halo pelvic traction fixtures and applying his body cast, I noticed his neck muscles were very weak.

Whenever I make him sit on the bed and stand, I also need to help support his head.

While we are on the bed, I encourage him to move his head left and right. It was terribly painful and uncomfortable.

Amazingly today, 1st February 2025, while he was standing, I let go of his head and told him: Honey, I am gonna let go of your head. You need to lift your head up. 1, 2, 3.

And there he was. His head upright holding. And we started counting 1 to 10. Then he got tired and requested to go to the bed.

To me that was a remarkable milestone of his recovery. It was a small baby step in his recovery journey.
