New Routine at Home

Currently we are in between 1st and 2nd semester of 2025/2026. I consider this as a pause moment where there is a shift in the routine.

I am a bit shaky and while reflecting, I get a sense of loss and not sure.

In such a context, I like to create a daily routine I can stick to to have a solid ground I can stand on.

Since we already completed teaching for the 1st semester, and now we are completing the students’ assessment, the daily routine could look like this:

  1. Wake up in the morning at 5:30 am, pray fajer and do thikir.

  2. At 6:30 am, do a hit workout or walking around the neighbourhood for 1 hour.

  3. At 8.00 am after showering, have breakfast and do a quick clean-up

  4. At 9:00 am complete student assessment at home or go to university to finish an invigilation duty.

  5. At 12.00 pm, pray dhuhur and have lunch

  6. Take a nap around 2.00 pm

  7. Pray aser at 3.00 pm and go outdoor with the kids

  8. Pray maghrib at 5:30 pm and have dinner.
