Raising Kids Because…..

There was one of the interesting conversations we had yesterday with family members. It was about why raising so many kids if end of the journey they won’t take care of you or look after you.

One of the guests and me replied: Raising kids is an obligation given by God. We raise them purely for Allah. If the kids have grown and didn’t pay attention to their parents, it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t give birth to more kids.

The opinion was not welcomed positively but it was the truth.

By the way, it is a very shallow and temporary way of thinking. I raise my kids because I want them to take care of me.

Instead, what if you say: I raise my kids because it is a divine test to check my inner integrity and faithfulness towards Allah.
