Wedding Anniversary

Today happens to be my marriage anniversary. It has been 14 years already. How the time passes by so quickly.

During that time, 3 kids were born, careers were changed and a home is being built.

I can’t say it is just sweet moments throughout this time period. There were also difficult times, frustrations, transformations and vulnerable memories that we share.

I notice with time passing by, more intimate and vulnerable we become. Individual differences and opinions reveal themselves throughout the daily conversations. Conflicts happen sometimes with tensions and other times with a sense of humour.

Nowadays, even our kids pop into our conversations with comments like: I am offended. I am a girl you know. Or: I will ask Baba. He will agree. Or: He is more relaxed in parenting and spoils us with material things. But you are more strict and spoil us with care, love and attention.

Finally this has been and still is a journey that we take together. Cherish the sweet memories and learn from the sour experiences. And best of all, it is not only you or me but it is also us taking the ride, going to different places, achieving different outcomes, going up at times, falling down sometimes, and doing it separately sometimes while moving together at other times.
