Working with Fear

When you start a project or business, you notice that fear starts to creep in. It says: You are not good enough. You are going to fail. How could you just switch your career or do something different? And on and on the mental cycle goes.

Then with all that fear and doubt, you stay focused. You dedicate yourself. You commit towards your goals. And you continue doing the activities that craft the vision picture you have in your mind.

What I notice in this process is the fear growing small and weaker. It loosens up its tight grip. It becomes powerless. Here you become the one in charge and not your fear. You take on the driver seat and the fear sits back in the passenger seat. Eventually you become the master and leader of your life while your fear needs to follow you along and go where you go.

It is interesting when you challenge yourself like that. It is like a one to one challenge. It is either you or your fear and can’t be both.

Understand your fear, its background and how it started. Become aware of its tricks and manipulations. The more awareness you develop about your fear, the more empowered and free you become.
