Funny Kids’ Moments

There is this funny thing happening at home nowadays. My 3-year-old son chases my 10-year-old daughter to either throw objects at her or hit her.

He often does that behavior when she is busy watching TV or doing her homework.

It is funny how a child seeks to get attention using different methods.

When I tell him not to do it or when I take away the objects from his hands, he would go to the kitchen and stand beside the fridge angry and upset.

Then, in a minute or two, he comes back but with a frowned facial expression.

I don’t know what to say but having a big age gap can be really frustrating. He is most of the time in the mood of playing balls and cars. And my older daughters are mostly in their own zones completing their homework or watching kids’ Netflix episodes.

I often see this as a dance. My older daughters sometimes come down to the level of my little son through play and games. And many times, my son acts older and copies the behaviors and conversations of his older sisters. Many effects and dynamic interactions happen in such an interesting diverse group.

I hope we, parents, understand the individual needs of our children and help guide them with wisdom and patience.
