Giving Up on Career Ladder
There is something I identified with almost all my life. I used to see myself and my worthiness through this lens. It was something I attached a human’s value with.
It is going up the career ladder. It is the idea if you do what you are told to do and achieve the requirements of career success, then you will get promoted and do well.
After reading so many books like rich dad poor dad, the power of now and other books, I realized I was living a lie.
I was dependent on someone else’s system to be successful. I was dependent and not independent. It means if this system falls apart, I also fall apart because I had no plan B.
Finally, with so much anger and frustration, I gave up on the career ladder idea. I would rather find a project I am willing to invest my efforts, energy and creativity in rather than depending on a fake system created by someone else for the crowd to follow and fit in.
