How to Potty-Train Your Toddler?

We started potty-training my 3-year-old son. We took that step because we saw his increased interest to go to the bathroom.

The items I bought to support his potty-training process are plastic underwear, a potty and a small stool.

I can’t say this is a straightforward process. It takes time and patience.

At the beginning, it was taking him to the bathroom every 15 minutes. And then gradually increasing the time according to his coping and adjusting.

The best thing about this experience is watching him learn to dress up, pull up his trousers, close the lid, flash the toilet and giving me a thump up. A lot of empowerment and growing up happen in this process.

However, the main challenge is cleaning up the mess when you forget taking him to the toilet earlier.

Finally, remember every child is unique in his/her learning pace. You can’t compare or judge. Be patient and still with this process. Because eventually your child would finally do his/her toilet trips independently without your consistent follow-up.
