What is Mental & Emotional Heaviness?

For me personally, I have struggled with this for such a long time. I used to take other people mental and emotional problems on my bare shoulders. I used to think: I should fix other people thoughts and emotions. I should do all that it takes to make the other person pleased and happy. And I don’t matter as a person.

After learning so much about the power of thoughts and emotions, I realized we all are individually and equally responsible for our own thoughts and emotions. No one would do the work for you. It is just you and only you.

When I hear a person blames, judges, compares and criticizes, I remember this: If you blame another person for your own responsibility, you take your own power away and you hand it to someone else. The power of your thoughts and emotions are only in your hands and they can’t be in another person’s hands.

Today, you can say a lot of my energy goes into processing and understanding my thoughts and emotions. Because of the old habit of thinking of others all the time and neglecting myself, now it is so new and challenging to spend my precious time in my own head and heart.

But believe me. It is worth it. Understanding yourself. What is happening in your mind. How your heart responds to your mind. The inner dialogue that keeps running within you. Keep checking and reflecting. Keep working with them. And eventually you will be in full charge of your thoughts and emotions.
